Snow-patched mountain lake ringed by evergreens, circa 1940

Card type
Linen

About this postcard

A view across a calm blue mountain lake toward a rugged range whose reddish-purple rock faces hold streaks and patches of snow in their gullies. Dark evergreen forest lines the far shore and frames the foreground, with a few bare, weathered trunks leaning in from the left. The scene is a generic alpine lake view of the kind issued in the linen era; no caption identifies the range or lake.
