About this postcard

A tall stone soldiers monument topped with a statue stands in Goodwin Park, surrounded by trees and flower beds. A building is visible through the trees on the right. The sender, writing from a camp in Eliot, Maine, used the card to show a friend where she spent a day off. She calls Portsmouth an enjoyable place to tour and mentions her work with two little girls and the birds and flowers she finds plentiful.

Dear Virginia This picture shows you where we spent one of our days off at least a part of it. The tour of Portsmouth is a very enjoyable place. I like my work with my two little girls now and I think you'd like them too. I know you'd love the birds and flowers that I find so plentiful here. Margo
