About this postcard

Sponge Geyser sends steam from a low, reddish mineral cone in Yellowstone National Park, with a forested hillside behind it and a pool of water at its base. It is a small geyser in the Upper Geyser Basin, where sinter terraces and runoff channels are tinted by mineral deposits and heat-loving organisms.
