The card shows a long, multi-story brick institutional complex identified in print as St. Elizabeth's Hospital, with the Chapel and St. Francis' Convent named along the facade. The buildings are viewed from across a broad street, where a horse-drawn carriage and a few small figures appear near the curb. Gothic Revival pointed windows and spires mark the chapel block, while the hospital and convent wings are plain and rectangular.
White border; black-and-white halftone print; border aged and stained; faint diagonal crease across the sky.
No postmark or cancellation present. Undivided back with "Post Card" heading, "THIS SIDE IS EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE ADDRESS." and a one-cent stamp box — typical of the 1898–1901 undivided-back era. Card is unused and unaddressed; light soiling and edge wear, small crease at upper left.
