About this postcard
The St. Joseph Mineral Baths in Mount Clemens, Michigan, occupy a large red-brick building with white classical columns and a pediment topped by a cross. Mature trees and a lawn with flower beds surround the institutional facade, and a sign identifies the baths. The Sisters of Charity conducted the facility, which the caption calls "world renowned for rheumatism, nervousness and run down condition." Mount Clemens had developed a reputation as a mineral-spring health resort, and the baths served visitors seeking therapeutic treatment.
