The card shows the twin Gothic Revival spires and rose window of St. Patrick's Cathedral on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, seen from above with surrounding rooftops in the foreground. Designed by James Renwick Jr., the cathedral was begun in 1858 and dedicated in 1879, with its two 330-foot spires completed in 1888. It remains the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York and one of the best-known landmarks of Midtown.
