St. Paul's Cathedral, London, 1914

About this postcard

The west front of St. Paul's Cathedral rises above Ludgate Hill, its twin baroque towers and dome framing the columned portico. Pedestrians and horse-drawn carriages pass on the street below, with buildings crowding the approach. Christopher Wren's cathedral, completed in the early 1700s, was already a fixture of London views.
