About this postcard

The Ohio Statehouse in Columbus, Ohio, a Greek Revival building of gray limestone, stands behind a lawn with trees. A monument statue and an old cannon sit on the grass at left. Its low central drum and cupola rise above broad Doric porticoes; construction ran from 1839 to 1861, and the capitol remains a landmark of the city's civic center.
