The card shows the Indiana State Capitol in Indianapolis, a massive Neoclassical government building of Indiana limestone with columned porticos, flanking wings and a tall central dome topped by a flag, seen across a lawn with a curving walkway and a few strolling figures. Completed in 1888 to designs by architect Edwin May, the building houses the state's executive, legislative and judicial branches and remains the seat of Indiana government. The caption names it simply as the State Capitol, Indianapolis.
