A tinted view of the Michigan State Capitol at Lansing, a domed Neoclassical building shown from across its landscaped grounds with a carriage and figures on the walk. The present capitol, designed by Elijah E. Myers and completed in 1879, is a National Historic Landmark whose cast-iron dome is topped by a gilded finial; it remains Michigan's seat of government. The card was published by the Detroit Photographing Co. in the first decade of the 1900s.
