A tall, many-windowed hotel fills the view, red brick above a white base, with flags flying over the entrance and cars parked along the curb in front. The caption names it the Statler Hilton of Cleveland.
The Statler name came to Cleveland with the grand downtown hotel built there in the 1910s. When Hilton purchased the Statler chain in 1954, the house took the combined name, which places this view in the mid-1950s, when such cards were a standard piece of hotel advertising and a common souvenir for travelers.
White border; tiny photo credit in lower right of image (not an artist signature).
No postmark, stamp, or handwritten message — printed hotel advertising back for the Statler Hilton, Cleveland, with hotel letterhead/crest logo, hotel description, and Carte Blanche credit card advertisement. Divided back, linen texture, white border. Dealer pencil mark "#59 1-" bottom right.
