A statue of Father Junípero Serra stands on a tall pedestal in a cemetery or memorial garden, with trees, plants, and a flower-filled urn around it. Gravestones are visible in the background. The printed caption identifies the figure as "FR. JUNIPERO SERRA"; Serra was a Franciscan missionary who led the founding of missions along the California coast in the late 18th century.
