A low-angle view of the Statue of Liberty rising above its stone pedestal, with an American flag visible in a pedestal window and hedges and shrubs at the base. The statue, designed by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi and dedicated in 1886, was a gift from the people of France and stands on Liberty Island (formerly Bedloe's Island) in New York Harbor. The card's caption names it simply as it appeared to harbor visitors in the early 20th century.
Linen-textured stock with visible crosshatch grain; narrow white border; printed numbers '11' at lower left and '14805' at lower right.
No postmark — unused card with blank address side. Linen-texture card with white border (front), undivided back, printed descriptive caption and Alfred Mainzer, New York imprint; light soiling/creasing near center.
