Steel truss bridge over a wide river with a town beyond, circa 1910

Card type
Printed photo

About this postcard

A long, multi-span steel truss bridge crosses a broad, calm river, with a low skyline of houses, trees and small buildings spread along the far bank beneath a pale, hazy sky. The viewpoint is low and close to the water, so the bridge's latticework of girders and piers dominates the middle of the picture. No caption, sign or landmark name is printed on the front, so the location cannot be identified from the card itself.
