About this postcard

Night view of Steeplechase Pier in Atlantic City, with the long pavilion and towers outlined in electric lights against a dark sky. Illuminated signs on the facade read "STEEPLECHASE" and "THE FUN FACTORY." The pier was one of the amusement piers that drew summer crowds to Atlantic City's Boardwalk in the early 1900s, when elaborate electric displays were part of the resort's appeal after dark.
