About this postcard

The picture shows a large Romanesque-revival masonry building with a corner tower and a broad arcaded entrance porch, with a smaller gabled building standing to its left; a handwritten note along the bottom identifies the site as the corner of 15th and Hudson Streets in Oklahoma City. The card belongs to the period of Oklahoma City's rapid expansion after the 1889 Land Run and statehood in 1907, when substantial brick and stone schools, churches and public buildings were rising on the city's north side. The image is a halftone reproduction of a photograph with a tinted blue sky.
