About this postcard
Large stone house with a corner tower and a broad arched entrance porch, with a smaller gabled building to its left. A handwritten identification places it at the corner of 15th and Hudson Streets in Oklahoma City. The sender's note calls it "Home of the richest man in town" and signs off "Yurs. Wills." The claim suits the house's scale and the booster spirit of Oklahoma City in the first decade of the 20th century, when the young city, founded in the 1889 Land Run and newly a state after 1907, was filling in with substantial masonry homes and public buildings.
