About this postcard

The Summit House hotel and its outbuildings stand on the rocky summit of Mount Mansfield, with bare alpine ground and mountain ridges behind. A few visitors are visible near the buildings. Mount Mansfield is Vermont's highest peak, and the Summit House was a mountain hotel for sightseers. Edna writes of a foggy walk on the mountain, a night in Morrisville, and 93 horses counted with Natalie.
