A pastel sunrise tints the sky peach and blue over the still water of Lake Osceola, with a wooded shoreline in the distance and overhanging branches framing the view; an empty wooden rowboat rests at the near bank among ferns. Lake Osceola is a small lake in Hendersonville, in the Blue Ridge country of western North Carolina, a resort area popular with summer visitors from the lowland South. The card's linen-era coloring and caption follow the standard tourist view of the lake at dawn.
Linen-textured stock with a white border; printed number E-4470 at lower right.
No postmark and no handwriting — unused card. Divided back with 'THIS SPACE FOR WRITING MESSAGES' and 'PLACE STAMP HERE' box; linen-textured stock with white border (from front). Publisher imprint for Asheville Post Card Co. runs vertically at center. Light foxing/soiling at top edge.
