Sunset over Moose Jaw, Canada, circa 1903

Card type
Printed photo

About this postcard

Sunset over the water at Moose Jaw, with the town's rooflines and smokestacks silhouetted against the sky. Small boats rest on the river, and dark trees frame the foreground. Moose Jaw was a Canadian Pacific Railway divisional point and a growing prairie trade center in the early 1900s; the smokestacks along the bank suggest the railway and grain businesses that served the surrounding farms.
