Two green trolley cars meet on the tracks in the foreground of Superior Street, with pedestrians, horse-drawn wagons and more streetcars receding toward a hazy downtown skyline. Tall brick and stone commercial blocks line both sides, one carrying a painted sign for Findley Bros. Superior Street was Cleveland's principal business thoroughfare in the early 1900s, packed with department stores, hotels and office buildings and served by a dense street railway network that moved shoppers and commuters through the center of the city.
White border along the right edge; heavy black flaking/abrasion scattered across the sky and building fronts; red series number 1203 at lower right.
Postmark: CLEVELAND, O. DEC 13 11-PM 1906; receiving mark: AMESBURY, MASS. DEC 15 7-AM 1906. Undivided back with printed "This side is for the address."; green 1c Franklin stamp; light edge wear and a small corner crease at lower right.
