About this postcard

The U.S. Supreme Court Building in Washington, D.C., viewed from the side, with its white marble Corinthian portico and long colonnade. A flagpole stands at the left, and lawn and shrubs fill the foreground beneath a tinted sky. Completed in 1935, the Cass Gilbert design gave the Court its first dedicated home after more than a century in the Capitol.
