About this postcard

White and dark swans swim in a pond at Milham Park in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Behind them, rockwork terraces and a small fountain rise above a stone-lined bank, with lawns and mature trees beyond. Milham Park was laid out in the early 20th century on land given by the Milham family and became one of the city's best-known public pleasure grounds. The swans and rustic rockwork were the kind of scenic attractions that drew visitors to city parks of the period.
