Swans on the river, Leeper Park, South Bend, IN, 1910

About this postcard

White swans and ducks swim on a quiet stretch of the St. Joseph River at Leeper Park, with a grassy bank, a low fence, and a dense canopy of trees reflected in the water. The park was one of South Bend's early riverside pleasure grounds, a shaded public space along the St. Joseph.
