About this postcard
The view looks down the length of the Salt Lake Tabernacle toward the pipe organ above the choir loft, with curved tiers of seating rising on both sides and rows of benches in the foreground. The Tabernacle, completed in 1867, is a large elliptical hall known for its acoustics and served as the principal meeting place of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and home of the Tabernacle Choir. The organ shown is the Austin instrument installed in 1910, replacing the earlier Joseph Ridges organ.
