About this postcard

Elevated view of Temple Block in Salt Lake City, dominated by the six-spired Salt Lake Temple of the LDS Church, with the domed Salt Lake Tabernacle and the red-roofed Assembly Hall at left, formal gardens and lawns within the walled square, and automobiles and green trolley cars on the surrounding streets. The Salt Lake Temple was begun in 1853 and dedicated in 1893, and the oval Tabernacle with its broad domed roof (completed 1867) housed the famous pipe organ and hosted general conference gatherings. The card's caption names the ensemble simply as "Temple Block."
