TEXAS LONG HORN (STEER), WIDTH OF HORNS 9 FT. 6 INCHES — NOW, "THROW THE BULL", WILL YOU! N-14 6A-H3 --- TEXAS LONG HORN (STEER) WIDTH OF HORNS 9 FT. 6 IN. One of the old time Texas Cattle on the ranges and plains of Texas. The origin of the specie is traced to Portugal. There being no cattle in America, the Spanish Colonists brought this breed with them. About the year 1850, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona were over-run with wild Long Horn cattle, and soon thousands could be seen in a single herd being driven over the "Chisholm Trail" and other routes to northern markets.
