The American Waltham Watch Factory fills a long street view in Waltham, Massachusetts. Rows of brick factory buildings rise behind a white picket fence, with bare trees and a utility pole along the road; the view is tinted in pink and green.
The plant belonged to the American Waltham Watch Company, a major watch manufacturer in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Its workshops produced precision watches and helped establish Waltham as a center of American watchmaking.
