About this postcard

A long brick hotel with a tall central clock tower and a smaller corner turret rises behind an arcaded veranda, with early automobiles and pedestrians on the street in front. The Arlington was the grand resort hotel of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and the building shown is the third Arlington, opened in 1893 to house visitors drawn to the thermal springs of the Hot Springs Reservation, now Hot Springs National Park. It burned in 1923 and was replaced by the hotel that stands today.
