About this postcard

A tree-shaded drive curves toward a large multi-story brick building, the scene labeled "The Driveway" at Saint Clara College in Sinsinawa, Wisconsin. The campus sat on Sinsinawa Mound, the motherhouse of the Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa, a community founded in the 1840s by the missionary priest Samuel Mazzuchelli. Saint Clara College was the sisters' women's college in the early 20th century; its collegiate work later continued in Madison as Edgewood College.
