About this postcard
A tree-shaded drive curves toward a large multi-story brick building, identified in the printed caption as Saint Clara College at Sinsinawa, Wisconsin. The campus stood on Sinsinawa Mound, the motherhouse of the Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa, a community founded in the 1840s by the missionary priest Samuel Mazzuchelli; Saint Clara College was chartered there as a women's college in the early 20th century before its collegiate program eventually moved to Madison as Edgewood College.
