A view across a wooded lakeshore toward a cluster of small cabins set among trees at the water's edge. The caption's slogan, "For Better Cabins," promotes The Green Circle, a summer cabin colony on Lake Wallenpaupack, Pennsylvania.
Lake Wallenpaupack is a 13-mile reservoir in Pike and Wayne counties, created in the 1920s by damming Wallenpaupack Creek for hydroelectric power. By the 1950s, its shoreline hosted numerous cabin colonies and resorts of the kind shown here.
White border; coarse halftone screen; handwritten date in white over the sky area ("July 5 - 50").
No postmark, address, or message — back is entirely blank apart from the printed heading and imprint. Undivided back ("POST CARD" only, no dividing line). Vertical imprint: "Silvercraft—Made by Dexter Press, Pearl River, N. Y." Front shows a white border and coarse matte halftone texture. Light toning/foxing and a faint smudge near the top center.
