The image reproduces George Caleb Bingham's painting "The Jolly Flatboatmen": a crew of river men gathered on a flatboat, one dancing atop a crate while a fiddler plays. Others sit and stand around with baskets, jugs, and sacks; water and buildings appear in the background. Bingham, a Missouri painter, made river life his subject in the 1840s and 1850s, and this scene became one of his best-known works.
White border; black-and-white print; small pinholes at top corners; no printed text on front.
