A waving American flag on a gold-tasseled pole is draped across an outline map of the continental United States, with the states lightly delineated and a few areas tinted yellow and pink against a pale blue ground. The printed title reads "The Land and Flag that I Love," a patriotic sentiment typical of the World War II era. Such map-and-flag designs were popular home-front greetings celebrating national unity.
Linen-textured stock with visible woven grain; no white border; light edge and corner wear.
No postmark; card is unused. Linen-texture Tichnor back with printed flag history on the left, "POST CARD" heading and one-cent stamp box on the right, divided by a vertical rule carrying the Tichnor imprint; light soiling, a small stain at top center, and corner wear.
