A black-and-white view inside a cavern, where a broad curtain of drapery-like stalactites hangs from the ceiling above a terraced floor of flowstone. The formation is called "The Leopard Skins" at Penn's Cave. Penn's Cave, near Centre Hall in central Pennsylvania, is a limestone solution cave with an underground stream that visitors tour by boat. It has operated as a show cave and tourist attraction since the 1880s. Early guides gave formations such as this fanciful names to help visitors pick out shapes in the rock.
