About this postcard

The domed Christian Science church in Boston, captioned "The New Christian Science Church," stands beside the original 1894 Mother Church, whose smaller Romanesque tower and gabled wing appear at the right. The Extension had opened that year, giving the denomination a landmark in the Back Bay. Uncle Lawrence sends the card to Charlotte in Amesbury, remarking that it is the first one he has seen.
