The picture shows the Great Bath of the Roman Baths in Bath, Somerset, with its colonnaded terrace, arched alcoves and surrounding stonework, while the tower of Bath Abbey rises behind the complex. The Roman Baths are a remarkably preserved ancient Roman bathing site built around natural hot springs, and the abbey's Perpendicular Gothic tower dates from the early sixteenth century. The card's own caption names the scene simply "Roman Baths. Bath."

Now -
Even the Romano took
baths - but I'll bet it
was more fun then
than it is now. I got
a few pictures but I
have my fingers crossed.
Thanks for your letter. I
got it yesterday afternoon
