A distant view across a broad green field toward the clustered brick buildings of The School of the Ozarks, with a tall smokestack, a water tower and wooded Ozark hills behind. The School of the Ozarks was founded in 1906 near Point Lookout, Missouri, as a work college where students labored to offset the cost of their education, and it later became College of the Ozarks. The nearby Lake Taneycomo was created by the Powersite Dam on the White River in the early 1910s and became a regional resort attraction.
Linen-textured stock with a narrow white border; light edge wear and a small blemish in the foreground field.
No postmark. Divided-back Curteich linen postcard; printed description and publisher imprint; handwritten name 'Dilla' at bottom; light wear.
