About this postcard

Night view of the Singing Tower rising above palms and pines, its upper windows glowing and its silhouette mirrored in the still reflecting pool below. Edward W. Bok, the publisher and philanthropist, created the surrounding Mountain Lake Sanctuary and gave it to the American people as a symbol of beauty and gratitude to the flag. The tower, completed in 1929, was designed by Milton B. Medary and built of Florida coquina stone and Georgia pink marble; it houses a carillon. President Calvin Coolidge spoke at the dedication, and the site is now Bok Tower Gardens.
