The Tower, Dreamland, Coney Island, NY, 1907

Card type
Novelty

About this postcard

The Tower at Dreamland rises above the surrounding pavilions at Coney Island, with a small gazebo in the foreground. Dreamland opened in 1904 as one of the resort's large amusement parks, and its central tower stood as a landmark until the park burned in 1911. The sender's note reports leaving New York and staying in Buffalo until October 1, a small trace of travel during the park's brief heyday.
