A row of eight black-and-white caricature heads—seven people and a dog—each labeled with a comic name beneath the title "THE WHOLE DAM FAMILY." The card is a visual pun on the surname "Dam," a style of early twentieth-century American humor. The figures include a woman in an elaborate hat, a mustachioed man with a bow tie, a child in an oversized hat, a baby, a man in a cowboy hat, and a girl in a wide-brimmed hat.
