The view looks southeast across Scotts Lake toward the Three Sisters, a line of snow-capped peaks rising above dense evergreen forest. Small wooded islands break the lake surface in the foreground. The Three Sisters are volcanic peaks in the central Oregon Cascades, grouped north to south and visible from the high lakes country near McKenzie Pass. The lakes and streams at their base have long drawn campers and anglers to this part of the range.
