About this postcard

Two Siberian tigers stand on a sandy ledge in a rocky, moated enclosure at the Detroit Zoological Park. A fallen log and trees frame the woodland setting, with a pool curving along the right side and visitors watching from a railing in the distance. The caption calls the animals "beautiful and deadly" and notes that they live "behind neither bars or cages," a barless style of exhibit the Detroit zoo was known for after it opened in 1928.
