Tower Falls drops 132 feet between the eroded volcanic spires that rise above Tower Creek in the northeastern section of Yellowstone National Park. The rocky minarets give the fall and nearby Tower Junction their names, and the surrounding rhyolite formations were a familiar stop for park visitors. A new road into the park from Billings and Cooke City was expected soon at Tower Junction, two miles below the falls.
