About this postcard

Tremont Street runs along the edge of Boston Common, where the tree-lined Mall was a popular promenade. A large leafy tree shades the left foreground near a small white kiosk or shelter, and pedestrians in period dress cross the paved walk. On the right, the red-brick Park Street Church rises with a tall white spire among commercial buildings; an early automobile and an American flag appear along the street.
