About this postcard

The card shows Trinity Church in Boston's Back Bay, its rough-faced granite and sandstone walls, massive central tower and red-tiled roofs rising above a small flower bed and lawn, with a tall commercial block at the right. The building was designed by H. H. Richardson in his Romanesque Revival manner and completed in 1877, with interior decoration by John La Farge and stained glass by William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones. It faces Copley Square, opposite Richardson's later work, the Boston Public Library.
