About this postcard
The interior garden at Hershey's Chocolate World in Hershey, Pennsylvania, is filled with dense tropical foliage, including cocoa trees, palms, and broad-leafed plants. Two conical thatched-roof huts stand among the greenery, and visitors walk a paved path beneath a glass roof and dark structural beams. Hershey's Chocolate World opened in 1973 as a visitor complex for Hershey Foods, and by the late 1970s it was a busy tourist stop. The sender's note describes a 12-hour visit and jokes that the food is so plentiful visitors are fed "like it's your last supper."
