Tucker's Wharf (Ferry Landing), Marblehead, Massachusetts, circa 1905

About this postcard

The view looks across Marblehead harbor from Tucker's Wharf, with shingled wharf buildings and a marine railway on the left, a cluster of rowboats and canoes in the foreground, and a small awning-covered steam launch flying the American flag at the landing. Sailboats and other craft lie at moorings in the hazy distance. Marblehead, on Massachusetts' North Shore, was long a fishing and yachting center, and its harbor front wharves served both ferry landings and boat liveries in the early 1900s.
