A plain, unillustrated card bearing a typewritten business request asking the recipient to supply information about a proposition mentioned in a prior letter, with the note that no signature is required. Cards of this sort were commonly enclosed with commercial correspondence in the early twentieth century as convenient reply forms, often printed as business reply or double cards so the sender could answer without writing a full letter.
No picture; typewritten text on plain cream stock. Handwritten signature "Mr Boyle" at lower left despite the printed "No signature necessary." Light age toning and a small ink spot near the upper right; faint offset marks lower right.
No postmark. Undivided government-issue 1¢ Jefferson postal card (pencil "UX27" at upper left), typewritten address to Penn Mutual Life Insurance Co., Philadelphia. Light soiling/creasing; plain tan stock, no picture.
