About this postcard

The view shows the Pennsylvania Railroad's Union Station in Pittsburgh, with its large brick headhouse, arched entrance, and a tall smokestack rising behind. The station opened in 1903 as a major PRR terminal, and the scene takes in the approach and the industrial hillside beyond. The printed caption uses the older spelling Pittsburg.
